Gothic - Demons ~ Album review

After a long pause, Metalitty is back with a hell of an album from Romania!
Formed in 1992, GOTHIC is one of the oldest Metal bands in Romania. Their music varies between gothic and melodic Death Metal and to be honest, I've never heard of them until they released their new album "Demons"! Seriously, this band is really underrated!

Gothic changed name to Ali (e) n and then to Innerfire in 2003 when Alin PetruČ› re-located the band in Belgium. When Alin was deported from Belgium back to Romania in 2005, he reformed the band separated from Innerfire which is still active!

After 2 full-length albums: Touch of Eternity (1997) and Expect the Worst (2013) the band is back with a new release: "Demons" as mentioned before!
The album is a journey between some different styles! The melodic riffs, fast beats and the sick growls in the first track "Shadow Man" show how Gothic isn't so gothic after all... I more consider this song death metal. The album contains a touch of doom metal as well, of power metal like in Destroying the Masses and a symphonic metal touch like in which is one of my favorites from this album! Each song is a different journey! George did a great work! His growling makes Gothic pretty unique! And I just appreciate how Alin PetruČ› and Taly are able to play different styles, yet not get too far from the band's circle! And Vlad Golgotiu beats made the albums powerful, strong, ALIVE!!! All these things made from Demons a masterpiece! Even the artwork is so awesome in my opinion and the surprise: IT WAS MADE BY THEIR BASSPLAYER! Yeah! how great is this?

In general, the album is so damn good! So if you haven't given it a listen yet, or haven't heard of this band before this is the right time to do! And if you enjoy it, please purchase it here :  http://shop.loudragemusic.com/gothic-demons
